Update on Pledges
Board of Trustees Update on Giving:
Through October 2011, we have received 90.3% of our year-to-date budgeted need. Please take a few prayerful moments and consider your giving so we can finish the fiscal year 2011 on solid financial footing.
Volunteer Opportunity
We know it will snow eventually, so we need to be prepared. The Trustees are looking for a volunteer to clear the church sidewalks this winter. We have a snow blower, but need someone to use it. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact George Downs..
Zumba Classes
Beginning on Saturday September 10, at 10 am Theresa Ford is going to help you dance your stress and worries away. She will also be offering a class on Monday evening starting on September 12, at 7:00 pm. For more information you can contact Theresa.
SUNDAY MORNING ALTAR FLOWERS

Michael's Florist on Delaware Ave. in Kenmore provides the flowers for our sanctuary. The cost of a single vase will still be $15. Two vases will now be a reduced cost of $25. If you wish to donate fresh flowers, please sign the flower chart on the bulletin board near the small kitchen, and fill out a yellow sheet on the table below the chart. If you wish the flowers to be in memory or in honor of someone, or wish to order anything special (such as certain color flowers) please specify on the sheet. After the worship service, the flowers will be put in a glass vase for you by one of the decorating committee members. You may return the vase to church at your convenience. If you are taking the flowers to the hospital, we have "disposable” containers you can take. Thank you to everyone who donated the flowers last year. They add to the beauty of our sanctuary.
No Room in the “Burmese Room”
For several years, we have received donations of clothing and other useful items for our Burmese friends as they made their homes in our area. At present, there is less use of this service. As a result, the room is full! We appreciate your support, but for the time being, we CANNOT ACCEPT further donations. When there is a need again, we will let you know! Thank you for your support and cooperation.
