"A Church You Can Call Home"

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Update on Pledges
Board of Trustees Update on Giving:
Our income has trailed off from 1st quarter 2010 budgeted expectations.  Fortunately, expenses have come in slightly under budget.  Please take a few prayerful moments and keep up your giving so we can have a successful fiscal year.

Youth Project - Cartridge Recycling
We are participating with a company that will pay for your used ink jet cartridges. The youth are doing this as a fundraiser. Please save your printer cartridges and deposit them in one of the collection boxes located outside the office upstairs or in the hallway to the fellowship hall. The only ones they do NOT accept in this program are Epson ink cartridges. Thank you for supporting the youth.

SUNDAY MORNING ALTAR FLOWERS
(From The Decorating Committee)
Michael's Florist on Delaware Ave. in Kenmore provides the flowers for our sanctuary.  The cost of a single vase will still be $15.  Two vases will now be a reduced cost of $25.  If you wish to donate fresh flowers, please sign the flower chart on the bulletin board near the small kitchen, and fill out a yellow sheet on the table below the chart.  If you wish the flowers to be in memory or in honor of someone, or wish to order anything special (such as certain color flowers) please specify on the sheet.  After the worship service, the flowers will be put in a glass vase for you by one of the decorating committee members.  You may return the vase to church at your convenience. If you are taking the flowers to the hospital, we have "disposable” containers you can take.  Thank you to everyone who donated the flowers last year.  They add to the beauty of our sanctuary.

Food Pantry Needs
The Network of Religious Communities.  Please remember to bring your food shelf items.  The Yourh will be working at the Pantry later this month.  It would be wonderful if they can go with a carload of food!

Collection for the Burmese
Our Burmese friends continue to have needs with which we can help. After discussions with them, here are the most helpful items we can provide.
Coats/jackets, hats/scarves, mittens/gloves, socks, boots, blankets.
Currently, there is a good supply of clothing
TV sets (analog OK) and DVD players (very helpful for learning language and culture)
Microwave oven, electric rice cooker, deep frying pans
Thank you for your continuing support of our ministry partnership with the Burmese.

Reading Glasses
The Mission Board will be collecting single vision or bi-focal glasses, ready-to-wear frames with lenses and glass cases to send over seas for those unable to afford glasses. Please no glasses that turn dark in the sunlight. You may place them in a box located outside the church office. This is your chance to give the gift of sight both physical and spiritual.

BJs Wholesale Club - Be a Member under the KBC Family
We offered this last year to the congregation and had a wonderful response. The Church Membership runs Feb - Feb. For those of you who have the KBC membership currently, all you have to do is pay at the regular check out to renew your card. The Cost for renewal is $21.65. If you would like to join as a NEW associate member on the Churches account, please see or call Bonnie Tordy for the form.
